The Word is Trust

Trust and obey….for there is no other way…
to be happy in Jesus…but to trust and obey.

Getting to hold my little granddaughter speaks to my heart…
This is trust…this is rest…she trust all herself to the love around her…
Nothing is sweeter…nothing that melts my heart…
Is this how our Heavenly Father feels?
When we lean in to Him…press into His love…
Entrusting ourselves fully to Him…
After many years of struggling…struggling to trust….
I now understand…I now know…
The foundation of all trust is Love…
knowing  how much we are loved…
It starts as a child…if they know …really know they are loved…
they can trust us as parents…they can trust our decisions…
and then obedience flows out of that trust.
It is the same with us…
when we know how deeply and completely we are loved by the Father…
then and only then can trust really grow…
to rest and trust in all His ways…

But I have stilled and quieted my soul: like a weaned child with it’s mother…like a weaned child is my soul within me.  Psalms 131:2
